MR2 *RARE* REV5 BEAMS VVTI 200BHP T-Bar Mica Orange (1998)

Post by adam3442 »

Rare when selling cars is well over used but this is a genuinely rare car, its a Revision 5 which is the last incarnation of the MK2 MR2's. Its a T-Bar, its in original Pearlscent Mica Orange paintwork and best of all it has the 200HP factory fitted VVT-I BEAMS engine.

Rev5 extras include, red stitched steering wheel and gear knob, revised instrument cluster, driver and passenger air bag, drivers three spoke sports steering wheel and speed flaps in front of the front wheels.

Mechanically its perfect and only covered 84,000 miles (although I suspect this is part miles part kms so probably less than 84).

Its the best MR2 I've ever driven, there are no suspension knocks it feels tight and smooth as if its just rolled out of the factory.

Car has MOT until March 2010 but is currently SORN (although could be taxed at buyers expense).

Its recently had a brake overhaul at the cost of £310.

Car has the Automatic gearbox which is superb and doesn't detract form the sportiness of the car its a pleasure to drive with. (Can be converted to manual easily and relatively inexpensively if you prefer).

Car is all original except the Sony CD player installed.

Has all T-Bar bags and shades.

Only negative is the wheels could do with a refurbish, but all tyres are near new.

Car also has factory fitted mud flaps.

Pictures don't do the car justice so viewing recommended. Give me a call to arrange a viewing. - 07071681047

Car will come with fresh oil service before buyer collects.

£4650 buys it!

Thanks

Always garaged whilst I've owned it and I don't think its been driven in the rain.

It does feel that way too Steve, the seats are really firm with no wear, its like no other MR2 I've ever had. It feels like how I imagine a new one would of.

The box was the biggest surprise on the car to be honest! It's lovely to drive with and if you don't get on with it, its not bad value to convert it.

Celica pics as she currently stands! There's not as much choice when buying one of these as there is with the MR2's.

Just to add some more info to the ad that I've missed.

Car has electric windows
Electric folding mirrors
T-Bar's do not leak
AC works and blows cold and if it ever needs a re-gas then it can be done as its the later stuff.

Loving that white Celica =P~ =P~

Just to add my old Beams was a very nippy car and drove great. If I had any money, I'd snap this up and get it converted :thumleft:

Hmm, you didn't by any chance originally buy this off Tom Solan did you?

Cracking colour, I posted a link to this on the BEAMS forum on mr2board as I hadn't seen a link there. :thumleft: :thumleft:

Good luck with it.

Thanks for that bud appreciate that.

I didn't buy it from Tom no, the one he has is a hard top and its still on his website at £7k so this is a fair bit cheaper.
