assassins creed 2

Post by H3RB »

got this yesterday for ps3, yes its original before that starts lol
its so much better then the first
:thumleft: no more stupid repeating missions (there are a few but nothing like the last)
dual hidden blades allow double stealth kills which is even more fun lol and now getting around is alot more fluid then before.
story seems quite good so far but it tells you that Leonardo devinchi was gay? never knew that lol

only a few hours into it so far but the fighting seems so much better also and the fact that you can swim takes away pretty much my only gripe with the first game lol
apparently altier makes an appearence in it also yet its set about 400years after the first one, i dont get it?
only bad thing i can see atm are the graphics:shock: it looks like a damn ps2 game.
also i swear the voice is done by the same guy who does nathan drake (uncharted) and the prince from prince of persia, anyone know if it is him?
anyone else getting this or got it? what you think?

its alot better then the first, no stupid repeated missions of "go mug him for me, go beat him up for me, go assassinate him, ok now go kill the main chap and move to next city"
alot more of a story this time and more things to find to keep u busy

This game is made of epic winichlorians. As an SP experience it wees all over MW2 from a great height, and really should be on everyones must buy list if it's not already.

So much bigger than the original, so much more depth and hidden sub-plots and it's all tied in so very, very well. This really does run Batman close for Game Of The Year, it's that good. 8)

I got this for Christmas and played it through from start to finish... There were times that I just had to stop and admire the immense depth and attention to detail in the game! Everything about it scores highly - plot, graphics, sound, gameplay... It's really immersive and even the bits that I didn't think I'd get on with like the new currency / buying / property management sections were good. I didn't mess around with the side quests on the way through, with the exception of the vaults to unlock Altair's armour, and plan to go back through and finish them all.

I played through Assassin's Creed 1 ahead of time, just to remind myself what had happened (and glad I did because I'd forgotten some of the subtle plot points) and you can really see where the game designers had got the environment sorted but hadn't really had much time for actual gameplay elements. This time around the grunt work is already done and they've just stuffed it to the seams with quality gameplay.

I played most of the game with just the double hidden blade equipped though. Seemed to do most of what I wanted! Other than that, well armed baddies were easiest dispatch by going in barehanded, disarming them and then insta-killing them with their own weapon. Poisoned dagger was fun, and I also used dead bodies to distract guards more often.

Two thumbs up from more and any further AC games will be purchased without hesitation. Looking forwards to the movie - especially with the "truth" reveal!

Another vote for this!

Coming from someone who hated the first game, I really like the second game. Vastly different gaming experience, better story, more depth and not repetitive. Story has a real Dan Brown, acient conspiracy feel to it! Substantial improvement over the first game, you would think its been made by a different developer! It’s like comparing COD3 to COD4. Same title, but the games couldn’t be more different if they tried.

only bad thing i can see atm are the graphics:shock: it looks like a damn ps2 game.

Do you have cataracts? The graphics are great.
