Hey Guys! a few people will know me off Jap North East (same username)

I signed up on here a few weeks ago, on my hunt for another mr2, and finally got one
I picked up my new motor on friday, Mk2 Rev 4, GT T-Bar in red! Was originally after a turbo, but this came up, and had to say yes! ('98 on an R, 51k genuine miles)

I used to have a mk3 a year and a bit ago, much prefer the mk2 though!


I'm after a few bits n pieces too, there'll be a post in the wanted section soon once i've complied my list!

Oh and one question...i assume my paintcode will be 3E5 Super Red?

Hmm i dont know, part financially...part because i've been without a car for 2months since i sold my Civic Type R, and was getting fed up (i was meant to be importing a Nissan Silvia Kouki, but thats another story) and when i saw the car on tuesday, i decided i wanted it and i'd get used to the non-turbo-ness...eventually! to be fair though, its not as slow as i thought it'd be!

not at all mate, I had an n/a rev 2 and it was a wicked car. It had over a 120k miles and it was faster than my new fiesta ST!!

The acis kick at about 5k rpm iirc is great

It's just super red 3E5 and 3J6 is crimson red

Calls it Crimson red 3J6 and Super red 2 for 3E5.

its just most paint codes people view are from american sites ! need i say more ! my old 2 was super red ! and so was a mk1 i did paintwork on . both identical. the latter mk2,s being super red 2 where slightly more orange.

My first MK2 was 3J6, a red rev 1. Real nice deep red, then saw a rev 3 94 G-LTD, which I was parked next to, and like ya say. More orangey red.
