[Mk2] [NA] Alarm Siren No Sound??

Hi all,
Just trying to program my new alarm fob which is proving difficult and i noticed the alarm siren is not working
All the lights flash just no sound
I tried looking for a switch , i thought maybe its on mute or something bu tno switch could be found

I read some forums they say its the siren, is this a common problem?
I looked on ebay but none for sale, anyone know where i can pick one up from?
Oh another thing where is the siren located?, i heard its in the front wing.

Might help with what make and model alarm it is in the topic title and post

It its standard Toyota, it is a horn in the engine bay not a siren.

Start by setting the alarm off and getting a multi meter on the siren wires to check for voltage

If no volts then its not connected, wired up wrong or there's a break in the wire.

Oh yeah
I have a std fit alarm on a Rev5 i think the siren is on the passenger side just under the headlights.

Yeah, ur right i have to test it with a meter and see whats wrong.

Just called Andrew Rowley Toyota in Croxely Green (Watford) and they said the alarm comes in 3 parts:-
1. Main Alarm.
2. Fitting (Wiring)
3. Siren and Radar (dunno what the radar does)

Well the Siren/radar is £77.90 +vat
Man, what a rip off!
