My Rev3 total refresh project

Hi Guys,

I had a very nice MKI a couple of years ago, and had a few cars in since including a LS400, Toyota Soarer V8 and I've currently got a RX-8 and TVR Tuscan.

I bought this very tidy Rev 3 MKII a couple of weeks ago. The car was standard when I bought it, other than a far too small Momo Steering wheel. Since then I've fitted the wheels and Eagle F1's all round, a quick shift and changed the steering wheel to a 320mm Momo Quark.

Yesterday was spent giving the paint work a good going over with claybar, rotary polish and wax

Next is going to be a stainless exhaust including decat and sorting the induction, suggestions would be welcome of what to go for

Well the mods are progressing nicely.

17" Wheels
Blueflame Exhaust and Decat
K&N 57i
Grooved Discs and Yello Stuff Pads
Goodridge brake lines

Ordered and waiting to find the time to fit:

Got the Tein Tension rods and the front antiroll bar on today

Had a go at the rear shocks, but the drop link nut was seized solid

So I've got some new drop links on the way and I'll just cut the old ones off.

Today has been spent fitting a full retrim in leather and Alcantara. My hands are killing me now from all the work with pliers and pulling the covers on. But I'm VERY happy with the result. The fit and quality of the stitching is spot on. The slight ruckles in the leather will settle out over a couple of days:thumbs:

The base of one of the seats with the old leather removed (this is upside down).


Same base with the first part of the cover attached.


If you look where the black strip of fabric is connected in the grove of the foam you can see the pesky copper coloured round wire clips that make this such a fun job!


One finished seat ready to go back in.

I had to cut the holes in the side for the lumber support leaver and the knob.

great work just out of interest , what would this roughly of cost to do ?

I got the covers from www.gabbatandbrown.co.uk and I can't recommend them enough!!! They have got some covers on ebay for £200 http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/Gabbat-an ... QQ_armrsZ1 but would normally be around £350ish.

Liking the Rota torque's in gunmetal, i got mine in white, have the same carribbean blue colour.

I toyed with white, but wanted the car to be understated.

did you go for the staggered 8" front and 9" rear combo on the torques?

I went for 7.5" front and 8" rear.
