Lurching as if Turbo is retarding under load of 1 bar in wet

Can anyone help

I own a Jap MR2 Import 1991 model. Recently changed oil, Filter, Plugs & leads.

Having problems boosting in the wet weather. Usually when Boosting @ 1 bar +4000 rpm in 4th & 5th Gear under load. Powers down as best described as lurching or retarding, originally thought the plugs & Leads needed changing. But i have alsready done this.

Thankfully this was happening when i took my car on a rolling road. I changed the plugs and the problem somewhat disappeared. However, it started again and it just seems to be playing up in wet weather.

Any suggestions

Take your Ignition leads out and try spraying in some water repellant from Halfords.

Or could it be that the ECU has gone into 'limp mode' because it's too cold? Below 7 degrees I think??

possibly fuel cut? maybe the water in the rain is cooling the charge and making it spike on boost slightly?
