Draining my petrol tank

Post by G-force »

I got full tank of vpower in my tubby. im going to scrap it and want to drain the fuel. the car is currently standing on 2 wheels from the middle so i believe the tank is not accessible.

I've been told about sucking a pipe from the petrol cap entry. How exactly would i do this, how long should a pipe be, and what diameter? ive tried with a garden hose (15mm?) but it doesnt go in far enough. and what elevations should the ends of the pipe be for science to take effect correctly and raing the tank?

if you want the hose pipe trick tank has to be higher than pipe to work, go for the fuel pump trick petrol tastes foul, ive done it enough times my cousin got a belly full once and was sick straight away neat petrol i was rolling round the floor laughing he didnt find it funny you can also get syphon kits quite cheap aswell. :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:
she's all comming together nicely now after a fair bit of cash spent, not bad for just an n/a now for some body kit i think.
