[Mk2] [Turbo] what oil pressure does your car run

hi i have just fitted a oil pressure gauge can anyone tell me what psi i should have on idle and also what psi under load?

mine runs at about 35psi idle, 45psi cruising, 70-75 psi under load

hi thanks for your reply mine only runs 20psi on idle and about 60 psi at 4000 rpm.

in the toyota BGB manual it states a minimum of 4.3psi at idle, and at 3000rpm load 36 - 71psi, so you are well within spec :thumleft:

mine will probably be showing higher pressue due to me having a high idle (due to my cams not wanting to idle lower than 1000rpm), and due to it being a new tight engine build :thumleft:

Mine runs around 60 pretty much constant from memory. Will pay more attention to the gauge next time I'm out. Lowers to 40ish when the temp rises to stock level. Normally lower though due to stock stat. Will have more accurate oil temps soon as I've got a filter relocation kit going on soon :D

Thanks for the reply m8 its good too no my pressure is within the limits.Just a few more electrical glitches to sort out then hopefuly i can get it through its mot and actualy get to drive it.
