[Mk2] [NA] clutch bite point quite high...

Post by Stushine »

does this mean the clutch is wearing, or will it just need adjusting?
i would say the bite point is about 1.5" -2" from the top

any ideas?

to see if its slipping or needs adjusting drive the car at around 35mph in 5th gear and floor it. If the revs rise quicker than the speed then its slipping. If not then it just probably needs adjusting, which is easily done

There's a guide on here (I couldn't search it for the direct link as it's currently down):

Try searching on this site too, it's been mentioned in the past, someone may have put up the pics that that site above has.
