[Mk2] [Turbo] Greddy Profec II settings

Post by Dean_82 »

Just curious on peoples settings and mods. I hit fuel cut today which was a shock. 1.3 bar. I didnt hit full throttle either I changed up into 3rd just as the engine light came on...?! It didnt go into limp mode after though and im guessing thats because I have disconnected the tsv. Checked 'last boost' on the ebc and it read 1.36ish bar. So fuel cut?
I'll post up my settings in a sec...
How do use the greddy profecs warning & limiter?

I know settings will vary per car.

Heres a good link of how to set it up. The limiter is easy to use just set to required boost and then on the next screen choose the amount to reduce by. It sounds like either you have your limiter set really high or you controller or solonoid is not working. I have this problem. My solonoid gets stuck and doesn't control the boost at all leading to me hitting the fuel cut at 4K rpm. If you use the following setup guide and its still not working then chances are your solonoid as gone. If you can get it off your car then try cleaing it with some carb cleaners as sometimes they get dirt in them causeing them to stick.

I tried it out today and it seemed to be working fine....
So the 'limiter' works by reducing the boost by a percentage (that you yourself set) if it exceeds the warning that you set??

Hopefully ^ that makes sense and maybe I just need someone local to Southampton to help me set it properly.....
