hi

i put an smr reconned engine in mine last summer - done about 5000mile since with lots of 'enthusiastic' driving - not broken yet :thumleft:

was that helpful? probably not - engine looked ok while i was fitting it, been cleaned up well and peace of mind that someone had taken it apart and checked it all out (comes with an inspection report on parts that were checked/replaced)

how about a high comp NA running E85 fuel when & if it becomes more widely available? 108RON!

I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, we fitted an SMR engine not so long ago and it was just an old engine that had been sprayed silver! NOT reconditioned as they said it was, it fired up with 3 cam buckets sticking.

Cost of silver paint about £2.50. [-X
