[Mk2] [NA] v6 swap [newbie ]

Post by tripod23 »

hi guys im new here iv own a rev 3 carabian blue n/a for a yr now great car always wanted one which was straight and well looked after ,thats just what i got - very happy.

after searching forums i stumbled across all the guys who have done the v6 swap from the camry,so what id like to now is if i was to do the swap myself there are a few things which i hope someone will answer for me.

1-who makes the engine mount for the cam belt side of the engine and how much is it to buy.

2- how hard is it to wire the loom from the camry to the existing loom of the rev 3

3-how do you go on with the cooling system ie pipes / and with it being v6 does the factory radiator cope ok.

4-does the swap make a big difference to the car in terms of performance.
and whats fuel economy like.

many thanks guys any answers will be well received

welcome, all your answers are over on the twobrutal forum or the mr2oc.com. They have extensive details and threads detailing how, why what and when for both mk1, mk2 and the occassional mk3

Best v6 is the 2GR-FE but it's expensive and a newcomer to V6 swaps
