For Sale: Track Prepped Black Rev3 NA - Never been tracked

Post by dave5526 »

Just gauging interest really, I'm possibly looking to sell my rev3 NA. It has been prepped for track days and with the intention of entering the Toyota Sprint Series this year, and eventually a v6 conversion, but I just don't have the time or money anymore. About the car:

M-reg Rev3 NA Astral Black JDM (De-restricted and converted to MPH)
109k miles
Tax til April 09, MOT til Sept 09
Serviced last September and done less than 2k miles since.
Aircon, heater works well, electric folding mirrors
New radiator and aircon radiator last July
Loads of receipts/service history
It was dyno'd at Mike Evans Motorsport in Sept 08, for which I have the dyno printout showing an extremely healthy 178bhp with no engine mods other than the induction kit - exactly what it should be running at.

Mods:
Apexi Induction Kit
Sparco Sprint Fixed Back Bucket Seats on modified standard rails so they still slide - FIA Approved to April 2013
TRS 4-Point 3" Harness's - FIA Approved to 2013
Full 6-point roll cage (Came out of Topgun's TRD No1 - no door bars so easy to get in and out)
Carbon Fibre Bonnet
Sparco N1 16" Lightweight Alloy Wheels - Staggered 7.5/8.5j with good tyres (Toyo Proxes front and I think Bridgestone rears)
Rhons gear and handbrake gaiters

Currently part-stripped out but I have most if not all interior parts, carpets etc in good condition to be included with the sale (I will refit them if required) - only things I might not have are boot lining and roof lining - can check for specifics on request.

Bad points:
Was in a small accident last year, wasn't my fault and was only going about 25mph so slight damage - only the bonnet/bumper and front side/fog lights were damaged. The bonnet, front bumper, sidelights and front foglights were replaced.
There's a quite large scratch on the passenger side air vent behind the door, but shouldn't cost much to have repaired - can take photos on request.
It has a cat1 sigma alarm fitted but this was playing up so I have currently bypassed it, sadly this means the central locking doesn't work as it was tied in to the alarm remote. The central locking itself works fine however, just the alarm needs fixing or replacing. I can have a Toad Cat1 alarm bought and fitted for an extra £150 if the buyer is interested (cheapest you would normally get one fitted for is over £200).
The steering wheel and gear knob are tacky and really need replacing, they were only temporary parts I just never got round to replacing.

It has NEVER been on a track or raced (at least since I've owned it). Despite the stigma attached to modifications like roll cages it has not been thrashed and has been well looked after.

I'm looking for £3250 ono, otherwise it goes back to standard and the parts will be sold separately. It would cost a lot more than this to buy and prep a rev3 like this yourself, the labour alone on fitting the roll cage and bucket seats was nearly £750!

The car is in shrewsbury but a weekend viewing could be arranged in crewe.

I've tried to be as honest as I can about everything but please ask if you have any questions.

Unfortunately can't take any photos at the moment as my camera is broken and I'm waiting for my sister to come home so I can borrow hers, photos will be posted ASAP and can be emailed on request.

Pics would be really nice, im searching a Mr2 for race track so this would be perfect.

Is there rust at the car, like the doors or so?
In which condition are the brakes?
