cam seals

Post by fen666 »

Hi .. I am in the process of changing cambelt and idler etc .... all covers and belt is off and I am 99% sure that the r/h side cam seal (looking from the front) is leaking oil.

Is it an easy job to fit a new seal now that I am this far, ie can the pulley just be removed, old seal pulled out and new one pressed in ?

91 3g se n/a ................ Thanks in advance :thumleft:

Yes, pulleys off.

Top cover off.

Pull out old bush, press in new bush. :thumleft:

Not sure how easy with the engine in but I guess you will find out.
