None that's available in Halfords that's for certain

Toyota should be able to sell you some EH power steering fluid, it costs a packet apparently, and I'm not even sure how much you'd need.

I have heard that the Peugeot 307 uses electric power steering too, and that Peugeot sell their EH fluid MUCH cheaper. Whether it's 100% compatible though

actually i think that there is something wrong with my Power Steering, I now need to turn the steering wheel really hard in order to turn the wheel itself.....
Is that any way i can fix that myself??

so, are you using PAS fluid from Peugeot now?

Is the PS light showing on the dash? If so, it's fairly common, and often cured by turning the key from off to ign (not starting the car) about 20 times. Something to do with the relay.

Or might be worth checking for Power Steering ECU errors - search for that one as it's been covered before.

No, I'm still running the original fluid in my 10 year old car, will probably change it in a few months though.

Hi Wonga

Didn`t you notice it wasn`t working when you drove away after purchasing it from RA Motors?

If I was you I would call him and get him to sort this out as well as your speedo too as it sounds like you brought a lemon if after 1 day of ownership parts of the car are damaged and not working.

HTH.

Dont be too quick to jump to conclusions....!! =; As far as i am aware there is NOTHING at all wrong with the PAS..
When the buyer came to buy the car he throught it felt heavier than it should - i thought it was fine and a little heavier due to having 17" alloys fitted.
Anyway after a bit of investigation we checked the PAS fluid and it was showing below the minimum mark.. I advised the buyer to get some for it on Monday as it was a Sunday and the parts/service dept at Toyota was obviously shut and i didnt have any lying around..! And i didnt want him going to Halfords and buying some in case it was the wrong one and causes further probs..

The price was also adjusted for this......

The car is by no means a LEMON - You only need to see and drive it to know that ](*,) :thumleft:

Also, just a note for anyone not familiar with the mk2's power steering - it is actually quite heavy compared to other cars with PAS.
