First port of call is caliper and disk condition.
If they are good then what pads are you using? ![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Carbotech are a good choice.
Pricey for pads but worth every penny

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bigger rev3 brakes???
Unless your running a massive spec there is no need unless for cosmetic reasons?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I have standard discs with Carbotech pads all around and SERIOUSLY rips your guts out on braking if you want it too.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
So, if I were you new discs, new pads all round, braided brake hoses new fluid and job done.
All for about quarter of the price at least.
You could always get the calipers painted??

I
did
go for the Brembo conversion.
Serious bit of kit, i have more than enough stopping power for my 350bhp Rev 3 Tubby,
If it is in your budget i would seriously consider it.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

With the size of the caliper, 17" mate.
Definately not 15", not so sure on the 16" but would not of thought so.
Look at how big they are on mine, i have 17" 7.5J.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Bigger rev3 brakes???
I'm just about to start work on my big disc conversion
(see the link above)
- I'm considering getting a few kits made up at the same time as a cheap effective alternative to the other kits on the market.
