Newly awaited Club website now live

Post by andyj »

Have been watching for the new site. Just now did search and message now showing that new website is currently being uploaded ...check after 7.00pm tonight.

Can't wait for this. Like so many, my Mark 1 Club membership has lapsed and plan to renew using new site.

...and I don't even have a Mark 1 at the moment :D

Anyone else pledging to sign up as soon as new site is live? Jinxy tells me you now get new Welcome Pack :)

Thats the spirit boys and girls, its great to finally have that buzz and excitement back surrounding the Club.

We need MASSIVE support from everyone of you, make sure you check it out ASAP, and start using our forum. This is a major turning point for the club and a massive leap forward. This is however just the start, the launch of the new webite is the beginning of the clubs makeover with the rest getting rolled out throughout 2009.

Please support us by joning the club, the more people we have joining the more we will be able to invest and give back to the members.

Remember its not just about the website its about being proud to be apart of a special club, getting out and meeting members, having fun with the cars, enjoying the driving experience, attending shows and lots more.

This year is going to be great, huge thanks to everyone who has been involved in making this happen.

just a quickie, when using the generic "cut and paste" text and agreements, where it says “yourdomain.com” your meant to replace it with MR2mk1club.com etc.

I agree! Note: I'm running 1900x1200 widescreen graphics and the web page sits in a reduced area in the middle of the screen and uses the smallest fonts.

It doesn't make use of the full screen area so I wonder if this needs a tweak to auto optimise to different screen sizes?

The new site does look good but it is a bit gloomy with the solid black background. I think I need to keep my sunglasses handy when flicking back to IMOC. My retinas got melted after spending 15mins on a 95% black webpage and then going to (IMOC) flamingo pink at max brightness.
