[Mk2] [Turbo] questions on gearbox oil for 2 way lsd?

I have searched and cannt get a definate answer for which gearbox oil to use for my two way lsd...

mt-90 redline seems to crop up everywhere but theres no friction modifier in it so thats nt an option??

Also i have read you dont use synthetic oils on Kazz website so what type of oil am i after?

Read on the forums not to put mineral oil in also...

so please could someone please tell me what oil to use ( mineral synthetic or what etc)...

what grade of oil do i use 80w90 or 75w90?

I have 80w90 in it at minute but the diff is noisy and very tight want to quieten it down a little and make it less active...

We have in stock a specially formulated Comma gear oil for plate type diffs. We've used it for at least 3 years, with 100% success.

Two customers tried MT90 with friction modifiers with no success, so £60 lighter we supplied them with the above Comma oil and instant success.

Don't think there is a way to quieten them down.

I'm not bothered by the noise (quite like it actually!), I just haven't got a clue when the oil was last changed.

I liked the noise too, had a sort of agricultural pleasure to it. Matches a twin plate clutch nicely.

Finally getting around to purchasing some oil, and I was about to get the MT90 as recommended above, and came across the Kaaz LSD oil:

Would this be the best oil to get? It is made by Kaaz after all

I think it would probaly be worth a go. How does it fair in comparison in terms of price?

I got a bottle of it with the diff when I bought it but found the miniscule amount rather pointless. Couldn't find a supplier of the KAAZ stuff at the time. I would probaly be inclined to go this route when it comes time to replace the oil in mine for the next time.

Not sure how much is needed though? I gotta find a how-to on changing the gearbox oil now

Its a bit of a PITA compared to some jobs, and can get quite messy. Doesn't seem like a bad price though.

Depends if I need more than two litres or not, some people say they have needed up to 2.5 litres?
