1994 Black Rev3 GT T-Bar Turbo £1000 - MUST GO!

Post by wizzer »

I'm putting up for sale my L-reg Black Rev 3 GT T-bar turbo.

*EDIT* The car has packed up - i think the turbo has gone, engine runs but rattles. I've spent too much on fixing this car already so i just want to get rid, so it's being sold either for parts or for someone else to fix up! Two weeks ago i fitted new front brake pads, disks and drop links.

Also forgot to add - i had it MOT'd in Feb, which it passed no problems, the only advisory was the front brake pads which have now been done!

Spec as below:
17” Mille Miglia Alloy Wheels
74,324 miles - gauge still reading in KM
Blueflame exhaust
Stainless steel manifold and downpipe
De-catted
HKS Dump valve
Blitz Turbo Timer
A’pexi Air Filter
Electric foldering mirrors
Steering foglights
G-Tech Boost Gauge
Momo steering wheel and gear knob
Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser
Tinted side and rear windows, and t-bar glass
Autopista front bumper

Imported to the UK in 2004, 4 keepers including me. Previous owner was a member of IMOC. The car is taxed and MOT'd until February next year. The registration shown on the pictures will not be on the car.

Ok and now for the bad points (hence the low price!):
Front bumper is broken having been hooked over edging in work's car park (as shown in picture):

Couple of minor pin-dents
Air conditioning not working
Slight steering wheel wobble at approx 70mph (could be tracking issue)

I will be including the following in the sale:
Standard black front bumper (needs to be painted and needs splitter)
Toms-style air scoop

I'm looking for offers on this car!

There are some more pictures available if you go to :
Photobucket site

Car is based in Cheadle near to Manchester Airport.

Drop me a line if you need any more information!
Cheers

Thanks for your offer was hoping for a bit more than that, bearing in mind that:
1) front discs, pads and drop links are only 2 weeks old
2) blueflame exhaust is only 1 year old
3) GTS digital boost gauge is 6 months old
4) Stainless manifold and downpipe both 6 months old and worth over £100
5) I spent nearly £2k last year on replacement engine and turbo what a waste of money that was!

I know that number 5 doesn't really count for anything but I would be expecting at least £1K hoping for more of course

Offers still welcome!!!

Might be intrested, depends!

Looks like the engine is gone as it rattles and posibily the turbo as well, these cars sell for £1500 to £2000 now as the market is crap :( , cosidering yours needs an engine and turbo, asking for £1000 is alot.

Engine costs -£1000 with turbo, a low miles one and then the labour about £400ish, plus service parts another £100 or so.

And then the bumper say £150 to repair it or £350 for another one, then the AC say £50 for regassing and £100 for a good used full AC rad and pump.

Thats about £1800ish needed to spend ontop  .

PM'd with an offer :) .

Thanks for everyone who's been in touch but i'm going to hold off selling the car for the time being. Having heard about this scheme that the government is considering introducing in the budget in april where you can recycle your old car and get £2000 from them to spend on a nearly new car...

But if it doesn't happen then probably try again!

Word of warning mate - if it's only possibly going to be introduced in April, it'll probably be some time before it actually comes into practice. You could be waiting a while.

Of course, I could be wrong - I know they're trying to rush it through to revive the car market. It's clearly a bid to get get older cars off the road and get more people driving newer, post-2000 cars which are either more efficient or, if they have a bigger engine, are subject to much higher tax...
