[Mk2] [Turbo] Boost problems

Post by stevel »

I have installed a greedy intercooler but since I have installed it the boost feels less responsive.
If I am aggressive on boost & the revs over 3k I keep getting a stuttering.
As this has only happened since the intercooler was fitted I have naturally assumed its some of the pipe work. I have fitted & refitted all the pipes but still cant find were the leak is.

Any suggestions on how to find this, I don’t fancy putting the stock one back in as this was a royal pain in the…. to get out.

i had this mate, just go round and make sure everything is done up tight. sometimes the jubilee clips wont do up tight enough. i couldnt get the clip that holds the intercooler pipe onto the turbo tight enough. ended up getting some mikalor clips that grip loads better!!!!!

Warm the engine up to normal temp, then turn it off and Reset the ECU, (pull the EFI and the IGN fuses from the engine bay for 30seconds). Start her up again then drive around for 10 mins and see how it goes.
