He gave me some things to try in the week like seeing if the brake shield was catching on the disc but I was unable to nail it down.
After popping down there this morning and the guys giving it the once over it turns out I have a worn gearbox which is making the noise but as the car is driving fine and all its doing is making a noise which you can barely hear outside the car
(need to turn the stereo up inside tho) I'm going to leave it alone whilst I get the cash for a turbo conversion 
Whilst checking the noises, we discovered a bit of an oil leak from the rocker cover gasket that I had replaced last year so they tightened that up for me as well
