Bananarama - latest pics rev4 turbo

Post by James Junior »

After a lot of hard work I am just about finished restoring the bananamobile to A1 original condition.

All traces of the bodykit that she wore before are gone and she is running oh so sweetly.

Some recent pics (which would have been better if not taken at dusk!) :-

To finish her off in an ideal world I would be also changing the side repeaters for clear ones, recovering the seats with black leather and yellow stitching and putting some anthracite wheels on her but........she will soon be going up for sale.

Things have moved faster in my new job than I expected and the powers that be want to fast track me through my final two exams so I can qualify as an IFA early next year. Hence, I need a respectable rep mobile.

I also need to buy my girlfriend a new runaround as hers is falling to pieces and I just cannot afford to run three cars.

This is the fourth MR2 I have owned and my strategy of buying low mileage examples at the top end of the market has done me proud as all my cars have been totally dependable with no issues. Though I left the MR2 fold once before, only to return again, I think this really is the last one for me.

Expect to see a full listing in the for sale section shortly, any interested parties in the meantime feel free to PM me.

I would just like to say a huge "THANK YOU" to IMOC and to all you kind members who have given me help and guidance over the last couple of years. :thumleft:

You'll be sorry. And as an ex-IFA who specialised in advising doctors and dentists I reckon it's the ideal rep mobile for long term economy, reliability, folder/file space & conservative but fun image. Don't sell it, especially now it's naked again!

Thanks guys.

Highway Star - I'm with you on that mate, but as a young IFA (25) I am going to have to work especially hard to gain the confidence and respect of some of our older and wealthier clients so the car will have to go to make way for something with a little more presence.

I am pretty keen for an Alfa GT 1.9 JTD at the moment. It seems Alfa's have finally stopped blowing up every 500 miles and a test drive was impressive.

Hi James you v'e got her looking really well, nice and clean. All that work mate and your gonna sell her. Good luck with the sale and good luck with your career.

The bumper arrived last week, thanks. Just need to get it rubbed down, prepped, sprayed and put on the car.
