[All] [Generic] Wheel Refurbishment Companies - any experience / recommends???

Post by GTSMick »

Hi,

I'm looking into getting a set of wheels refurbed and hopefully resprayed in another colour (not quite decided what yet though  )

Can anyone recommend a company that does a decent job here in the UK and doesn't charge silly money? Has anyone used a company before and been especially happy with the results?

Advice, thoughts and any pictures welcome

Thanks in advance people :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

Get them powder coated rather than re-sprayed - far more durable and no real difference in price :-)

I've used these people twice now...

Not a million miles away from South yorkshire, they also do a same day service if you prebook.

I've had two sets done now Mick , and as Jeff says - get them powder coated as they come up like new, especially if you get the curb marks taken out first. I've paid £200 to £250 for a set of four and that smoothing off the rims (ghastly pre-owner curbing) and respraying.

It really is like owning a brand new set of wheels if its done properly.

The place I've been to twice now is near Carlisle so its a little far for you but they do put a set of wheels on your car during the week they have them.

Could try Pristine Wheels in Milton Keynes - if you can do without your car for a few days, they will be sent away, powdercoated and returned looking good as new - they'll also paint any plastic parts too

Other than that, I've used BJV Engineering just off the M40 / M25 near london which did a great job on some really tired BMW alloys for a very good price :
