RROD 360 back to life!

My 360 died a few months back with 3 red lights.
I chucked it in the cupboard and had been using my Elite.

I was bored the other weekend so decided to try the towel trick - It worked perfectly and is still OK after being used every night since

I just wrapped it in 3 towels and left it on for 25 mins (overheating it and melting the glue which coats the processor after melting previously).

Bet you cant do that with a busted PS3 Ha only kidding PS3 owners - I have one too, even though I dont use it

id send it off if i was you.

its a temp fix that will screw up your graphics card.

for the solder to truely melt it has to reach something like 400 degrees.

may aswell let them do it properly if you can.

There isnt any busted ps3 owners mate (they dont melt) Now ive said that Im gonna walk into my living room to find a big black pile of shiny gooo

If it kills your already RROD'ing 360 then just send it to MS!

Here is the procedure;

1. wrap up the 360 in 3 towels
2. Leave all cables plugged in
3. power on and leave on for 25 mins
4. remove towels and power off
5. Leave powered off for 15 mins
6. power back on and hey presto!

I played The force unleashed for 4 hours with out giving the 360 a break last night and all good

I think they can tell when the towel trick has been used, thus voiding your warranty.

i think a sorry looking graphics card would be a bit of a give away.

I think you have it backwards. If you cant get it fixed properly then you have nothing to lose and could try the towel trick.
