[Mk2] [Turbo] 1994 Rev 3: Just the Odometer has stopped working?

Post by benny p »

Hey guys,

Just noticed that my speedos odometer (within the last week or so) has stopped working???

I've just done a quick search and found nothing apart from people talking about complete units stopping. not part of it?

I'm guessing there is a jobby connection somewhere? Do you think i should just source a new speedo unit?

O it has been delimited too so the speedo reads in mph up to 180mph also.

Cheers guys,

Ben

If you have de-limiter you'll probably find it behind the speedo cluster. The speedo sensor is on the back of the gear box, near the rear engine mount, that could also be the problem or a wire in between. If the needle is still moving it's almost definately a fault with the cluster.
