Blue mk2 Rev1 N/A with imoc stickers

Post by Rowland »

J436 VUJ

I saw this car parked at ASDA in Leicester this evening at 6.45pm.
Completely standard with the exception of crystal style clear repeaters and side lights/indicators.

What caught my attention however was not one, not two, but THREE imoc stickers on the car!

Shame on this person for parking in the 'less-abled' designated parking area, unless of course they suffer with less-abledness in which case all is forgiven...

Twas me I'm affraid..!!

Didn't realise there was a 'less-abled' area there - ah well - I now know for next time..!! Plus you could count me as 'less-abled' as I work in IT..!!

There would of been four IMOC stickers on the car but the MR2 over the IMOC didn't look quite right on the car.?

I've been trying to keep an eye out for your '2 for ages Rowland, where abouts in Leicestershire are you.?

I see a few '2's on my way to work and when I'm pootling around but none of them seem to want to acknowledge another person with exquisite taste..!!

Nevermind.

See y'all around.

Hoorah, I didn't expect to get a response to be totally honest but you just never know!

I live in Lutterworth in the South of Leicestershire near J20 of the M1 - whereabouts are you?
I think I could have seen your car in the past as I had one that colour below...

I've been waiting to be spotted since October last year..!! It seems
like a lot of the '2 owners in Leicester don't fully appreciate what they're
driving and get the most out of clubs like this..!!

It's been a complete god send for me..!!

I live in Leicester itself, just off the Narborough Road towards the town
center. I know where Lutterworth is, I work in Whetstone near Blaby.
I've been drinking in Lutterworth a couple of times - The Shambles, even
spent a new years eve in a pub/hotel a bit further down the road, can't
remember the name.?

Might see you around.?

Which ASDAs was this? The one in Thurmaston?

There are two white Mk2s in Syston - one of which is mine (!), but I don't venture towards the centre of Leicester as this means driving through Belgrave...which is the capital of bad drivers and thus I worry too much about panel damage!

I feel another 'meet' coming on... :D
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!

Hola Nige,

It was the one at Fosse Park, so yeap you'd have to make the brave
drive thro' Belgrave..!! Preety much the same reason I never venture
north of the centre aswell..!!

I usually see 3 MK2's on the way to work, one aquamarine which is always
parked up. A red Rev3 with an elderly fella driving and a black Rev5 with
an elderly dear driving..!! They never acknowledge me..!!

Hmmmmm a 'meet' sounds interesting..!! :-k

Definately! It's been some time since we had a meet around here. The last Leicester meet was at the Hobby Horse pub about a year and a half ago!
