Ps even if you fix it on the cheap it's going to need a full respray which in itself is not going to be cheap :(

Just worried about that rear quarter...

This would work out significantly cheapest than having a repair and would be right up your street :D

I can see you in that car and you couldn't ask for a much cleaner example :thumleft:

Or this one is cheap (a respray would cost more) but clean and would give you something to play with still

Decisions decisions :-k
Ps I'm still jealous of your engine! Lol

Thanks Karl. Both for your sentiments and advice :thumleft:

First thing I need to do is get it rolling again. Then it can be properly assessed, allowing an educated decision to be made. If it (rear quarter) is repairable then I think a wide arch kit is a must. It was already something I was thinking of doing long term, but life has a habit of changing our plans.

If it's not a simple or cost effective fix, then it's either a break and walk away, waiting for a good sorted car to come up in the future. Or if it's a decant, then it has to be a completely different car. Both in terms of colour and aesthetics, as there's no point building another Mule wannabe, it's just a false economy really :(

Not planning on leaving the fold. It all depends what can be done with it really. I'd love nothing more than to be able to fix it up to be even better than before (gotta upgrade, it stops it being dead money  ), however the reality might be that it's dead. I truly hope not

Yeah, I reckon so. Probably easier to get some Woodsport arches on there rather than source a TRD kit.

Long live the Mule!!!! \:D/

Don't blame me for this when you talk to the bank manager

Only trd kit I could find out there ATM ... And I have looked for a while as I'm contemplating buying a second mr2 and doing it :D

Which part? Whether or not they're recoverable after disaster? Or what the stubborn beast might look like after another sizeable cash injection?

See now I'm not a big fan if the TRD kit. andya24's tubby looks great, however I don't think I'd want to recreate that on my own car. It's one of those things you see and admire but don't want to own, if that makes sense?

Thanks Craig. I admire your passion for keeping it alive. :D It's especially easy when you don't have to pay for the work   Although cost was never really my concern, just that something's done properly :thumleft:

They can repair all sorts of damage, including buckles, dents, missing bits etc and do refurbs too.

I'm waiting to hear back from them, as I'm keen to see where can be done with anodised wheels :-k

Seeing some of the work they've done, mine don't look that bad :)

It's certainly not the financially logical solution though. Especially as it's an easy £3.5k+ job and there's always that lingering worry of something still secretly being amiss :-k

I can't make any decisions yet, as I need time to get some expert advice, however sufficed to say I've got few ideas up my sleeve for this car. Be it all of it or just some...

thanks :-k you have to make a car that you enjoy tho i agree, considering the amount you have already put in the car i would take a big step back, find out all your options with the mule and/or a donor car and think on it a while, whats happened is devastating but a bit of positive spin on it and its not so bad..but dont rush into anything, unless of course your a secret millionaire and if thats the case i need a respray ta :thumleft:
i feel for you really, some big desisions coming i think, just make sure you think on them and make the right one

They say they can repair pretty much any damage so hopefully the news on yours will be good :thumleft:

I really admire your attitude toward this and staying positive with it :thumleft: As you're running some bits from my car I feel a bit connected and really hope you can save the Mule or have a Mule reincarnate if you decide to re-shell
