It does sound pretty nice. But the engine doesent sound that stressed actually. So, Im thinkin of taking it a bit higher in power.
Im guessing that just sortin out the problem with the boostcurve, I will be touching 800bhp. Im gonna stop there for now.
Since this car not gonna be chasing high trapspeeds on the dragstrip I dont know what Im gonna do with all the power =)

As it is now I´m not able to lower the boost more then 1,5bar.
And already there we put down 643bhp. Thats about the lowerst number I can get now. And that is the number Im gonna enter the timeattack series with.. If Im a few hundreds behind... Then I´ll probably up the boost alittle ;)

I already have a EMS in the pipe. But thats for your tip!
I´m gonna run a brand new EMS called MaxxEcu.
It´s a friend of mine building them. Not yet released on the marked. Gonna be 1st of September.

Made one single pass at Mantorp Park saturday.

60` : 1,54
201 : 173km/h
201 : 6,91
402 : 215km/h
402 : 10,66

Unfortunatly I didnt get more chances to do a better run.
Didnt feel perfect in any way. So a pretty low 10sec should be possible.

Cars flying mate! :thumleft:

The boost control with the pfc's have never been great. I'd just get a simple 3-port mac valve to use when you get you're new ecu.

Gonna bring it over to the UK for totb next year?
TOTB 2010 Rwd top speed, 1/4 and shootout winner.
10.7@142 on R888 street tyres, 10.3@134mph on slicks,

When I change my ECU, Im gonna use the boostcontroller included.
It works flawless from what I´ve seen.

Would be really fun going to totb... If I find a sponsor for going over there I will... Its a bit pricey ;)

So this car is still alive and kickin.

I´ve changed a few things since last update.

Upgraded to a 3,5" exhaust all the way incl downpipe. That made a BIG difference!

I also changed my Apexi PFC to a MaxxEcu.

Have only roadtuned it, So dont really know the power output atm.
Last "known" number is 600whp at 1,8bar.
Since then I added 0,6bars of boost and 3 degrees ign

A rough guess would be 750-800bhp (650-700whp)

Thanks!

I dont have any good pictures with the exhaust on the car.

But I have this one I took during the build.
This is the finished piece after test fitting before I seamed the welds.
I also added a flexpiece right after the downpipe thats not shown on the pic here.
It has perfect fitting under my moroso pan.
The exit is seen from the back on the left side of the car.

I had a full 3" exhaust with 3,5" downpipe before.
And the differens is enormous

I'd forgotten about this monster. That's some serious numbers!

You definitely need to get some video footage of it running :thumleft:

Im sorry, I dont have any good footage of it..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nefx68q_HTI

This is from Mantorp Park last weekend.. Never got a single run working as it should.

Clutch was slipping everytime a tried a start with launch activated.
First and last was with launchcontrol activated. 1,47 and 1,6 in 60feet

Second pass I just sneeked of the line and logged every gear to see in the log where the clutch started to slip..

Did an Auto-X event fridaynight.

Or well.. We rentet an airstrip and put up our own "track"

And wow do I have traction issues..
AND brake issues...
Acceleration issues..? Not so much.

Went lawnmowing once in 100mph +.. Scary experience

I have to get more rubber on the ground. Looking to modify to fitting 255x35x18 on a set off 18x9,5 wheels up front and 285x30x18 in the back on 18x10,5.

On another note. I have a non abs MR2, Is there a restriction to the back brakes that I dont know of? Have a crasy hard feeling to the pedal, And doesnt seem to get any help from the backbrakes. While the front brakes lock up really easy.

I changes to K-sports 8 pot caliper and 356mm discs in the front and 6-pot calipers in the back with 330mm discs for info.

Remove the factory prop. valve and fit a manual brake bias adjuster.

The proportioning valve dictates relative pressures to front and rear brakes. But you have changed the brake balance. Remove the factory valve and fit a manual one in car and you can adjust brake bias to suit.

OEM valve will look like this (below master cylinder). You'll find yours about 30cm from master cylinder:

Competition valve looks like this:

Plumb your brakes so front brakes on one circuit, and rear brakes on the other circuit. Plumb bias valve into rear brake line in car where you can adjust it. Memorise several settings for wet and dry weather.

Had a little presentopening yesterday.
Not christmas or birthday. And I had to buy it to myself..

I told you guys about the horror I suffered when I sprayed E85 over the entier engine when it was totaly heatsoaked. I had to stand and wait for ages before I could relax. So I desided to buy a fire extinguisher to have in the car at track.

Its a OMP 2,4l Ecolife AFFF foam extinguisher.

Theres also a couple of OMP JET helmets.

Took her out for a spinn yesterday.
Besides some small triggerfaults she runs really nice.
No problem in traffic or just cruise down the country roads.

Feels so good just knowing its in the garage just ready to run that I barely
dare just to enter the garage now.. :)

So, The story continues..

The project of putting 265x35x18 upfront on 9" wheels and 295x30x18 in the back on 10,5" wheels continues.

Also got a new clutch, OS Giken R2CD, Not installed yet tho.

No joke tho when ppl say its difficult to get big wide wheels upfront on these cars =)
