I'll let you know :thumleft: The finish of the carbon is fantastic, the fibreglass end bits need a little sanding and a few pits in the finish filled with stopper, but nothing that a decent body shop couldn't do in their sleep. I'm going to get mine all ready for spraying myself, then give them to the body shop to just throw the paint at.

Finally got the REV5 Carbon spoiler on today. It took more work than expected to get it to fit correctly but it's on now and I'm VERY pleased with it

Still got a couple of little jobs to do on the spoiler. I want to change all 14 bolts to stainless so they don't have even a chance to think about going rusty. I'm also going to seal it to the boot with tiger seal so water cant leak through the bolt holds into the boot.

Also added a HUD speedo this weekend. It's not finished yet as I'm going to flush mount it in the top of the dash. This pic makes the reflective foil on the windscreen look quite a but darker than it is in real life for some reason:

Well I've had the MR-2 exactly a year today :thumleft:

In that year its gone from a totally standard Rev3 MR-2 to having:
Tein coilovers with pillowball top mounts and the Electrinic Damping Force controler
Tein Tension rods
Whiteline ARB's
Powerflex poly bushes
Grooved discs, EBC Yellow stuff pads, Goodridge lines running DOT5.1
17" Rota Torques
Momo Quark steering wheel
Short shift
Blueflame exhaust and K&N filter (now running 175bhp)
Full retrim
Full respray
New smoked front side lights/indicator cluster and side repeaters
New rear lights
Rev5 Carbon spoiler
Carbon side ducts
Kenwood DNX9240BT double DIN DVD/Satnav and 6.5'' components (12" sub coming soon)
HUD speedo

There is bound to be a few things I've forgotten too.

A year ago (I don't have any pics of it on the standard wheels):

And now (I need to get out and get some decent pictures of it now)

they don't stick on the screen do they? they stick on the top of the dash and reflect up onto the windscreen; no doubt you can turn it off when needed / wanted.

The HUD itself doesn't but there is a small square film stuck to the screen similar to window tint film. We'll see come MOT time if it fails, I do have a very friendly MOT tester though and it can always remove the film before hand and then fit a new one after if I need to.

I've been busy wet sanding the car to get it 100% orange peel free:D

It was resprayed about two months ago, and while the bodyshop did a good job of throwing the paint at the car, they didn't do a fantastic job of removing the orange peel. It wasn't bad, but wouldn't have looked out of place on a new Ford or BMW.

I've only had time to get the near side panels done so far but I'm very happy with the result :D

Process was:
Wash,
Clay,
Wet sand with 2000 unigrit
Polish with Menzerna Power Finish (PO203S) on a Menzerna Polishing Pad
Then refine with Menzerna Final Finish (PO 106 FA) on a Menzerna Finishing Pad
And lastly protect with Dodo Juice Purple Haze

The reflection speaks for itself:

Got my fog light sorted today after doing the quad 'stop/tail' mod a few months ago, and losing the fog light switch when I fitted the TEIN EDFC.

I decided to put a red bulb into the off side reversing light and wire that as the fog light :thumleft:

And for the switch I removed the knob for adjusting the brightness of the instrument cluster and fitting a round rocker switch. The tell tale light is on the instrument cluster so will be fine for the MOT :thumleft:
