Mine passed fine with no toblerones and no side indicators. They didnt say anything about them (and that was at a strict MOT place as well) :thumleft:

Oh and mine was the Square plate over the letter box hehe :)

Hey Leon, thanks for the advice, mate :thumleft: :D

It's certainly is good to be back. Good to have a project again, even if it is simple stuff like:

try different damper settings
swap wheels over to Sparco staggered 16s
sort out bubbling window tint
remove GAAAAAAAAAAAAAY lights
fully detail bodywork - speak to JOHN400, he is the man.
swap exhausts
decat
boost controller........

........ :D

This screw anti-clockwise?

Not sure which way mate, possibly CW? Just do it half a turn either way and see if it changes. Unless someone else knows...

just a guess but I would unscrew it (Anti-Clockwise usually). This should allow the valve to open easier under lower boost (tighter it is the harder it is for the valve to open) well thats what happens with my XS dv anyway ;).

Then again thats if that screw is to adjust it, my XS uses Washers (add washers to tighten remove to loosen).. I dont want the blame if your DV comes apart and the spring / piston flys out LOL

But I would have thought you need more pressure to prevent the fluttering, which is what he wants to get rid of? :-k

oh wait, is it the DV fluttering or is the fluttering sound comming from the turbo (the air / pressure going back against the turbo blades because it cant get out of the DV or what ever it is that makes the fluttering noise?)

My XS Dv was seized so I got loads of fluttering from the air going back against the turbo because the DV wouldnt open to let the air out. Once I fixed it the DV was moving free and no more fluttering because the valve on the dv could now open freely to let the air / pressure out.

I assumed it was coming from the DV, not turbo stall.

But good point, Matt make sure this is the case!

Hmmm :-k I would have thought that it's actually turbo stall because how would the DV itself make a flutter noise? I could, of course, be totally wrong

I've already tried half a turn ACW and it hasn't made any difference. Will keep playing and report back. :thumleft:

I'm going to be swapping back to a standard airbox and re-circing DV at some point anyway. All the loud noises just do my head in :gayfight:

How much do you want for the SSQV? :)

also, take it off and see if you can push the piston in it by hand (Im guessing it uses a piston) Does it make the TTTTTSsssssssssssss noise at all??

 I'm 27

I think it's the old SSQV and it doesn't look like you can change the inserts, actually I don;t think it has an insert. Here's some more pics young man.
