Fair enough. What sticker would you suggest. A MK1 eagle would look nice. Or I could buy some TRD bits,

Its not a sticker as such but an aluminium plate. Would you like to design a MK1 Chicken symbol for us on the Oc. I have Screemin Eagle on my harley. What is the standard item on the dash then. I take it your car is standard.

Design a badge? eh no thanks.

My car is not std no but i don't have stick on tat either.

Take the trd nonsense off and put a new part there (ebay)

Thing is even if you bought a trd part (never seen one for sale for a mk1) the sticker would still look out of place.

I did consider replacing it with a red leather insert but I may leave it as it winds you up so much. You still got the nightrider look going on.

Nonsense, I've got a pile of TRD parts on my MK1...from engine parts to chassis to the good old fashioned short shifter. Plus two TRD stickers...

im not a mk1 hater at all.

They are a cheap cheerful car that look and handle a million times better than most of the guff on the roads of the same age (nova, fiesta etc etc)

Thing is mem your car is nice, real nice infact but imo you are slowly but surely ruining it with the stuff you are doing to it.

If that were my car i would turn it back to std and be proud that i've managed to get a clean mk1. After all they are a dying breed

But it isn't your car, it's his - so appreciate it for what it is, offer constructive comments and then step back and let him get on with things.

I thought I was a knobend but you make me seem almost human.

Wow a compliment from mikee. Thanks. :thumleft:

I have to agree that the Engine Bay L.E.D's not everyone will like.

And the seats did look naff at first.

The rear led lights are my fav mod so far and I have all the original parts if I decide to go Back to a classic car show.

The wheels made the most difference to the car and I love the colour coding.

As for the sticker. A bit ott but it must be a pet hate of yours.

I like to be different and try things when I get bored.

One thing I will newer take though is that my car looks dirty or Pink. The paint puts some new cars to shame.

The "Screaming Chicken" is a reference to the badge on the bonnet of the MK1.

Supposed to look like the Phoenix on some American car (I've just drunk 1/2 bottle of wine, memory is fuzzy) and has been affectioantely nicknamed "The Screaming Chicken"
I am going to live forever, or die trying!

Hi MEM, thought I'd not seen you on MR2OC for a while...

You can get replacement dashboard pads off t' bay to cover any holes left by the toy car.

I'm guilty of buying one of those TRD plates  ...from a local motor factors (it was reduced) and I was looking for something to put on my Jimi bracket.
I never did put it on though in case anyone asked what TRD bits it had on lol

I'm still looking for something suitable as it looks a bit bare :?

I don't think I've ever openly criticised any modifications anybody has made to their car - even silly bubbly bodykits on saxo's and the like - they give me a laugh if anything. Nothing wrong with a bit of banter though - and I know you can give as good as you get :thumleft:
