I'm really regretting buying these coilovers now. I should have bought yellow billies.I think I'm goin to have to buy new wheels just so I can drive my car.

Anyone got wheels for swaps, I've no idea what offset I need but et 35 8j wide is too much for the front.

Ok new problem, the studs are too short with the spacers to get the wheels on.... How are the studs mounted in the hubs? Splined? Do I need to take the hubs right off to change them?

I'm beginning to wish I'd just bought a new shock when it failed its mot on 1 leaking.

In all seriousness though, i dont know what size would fit as ive never had collies. Does it fit now with the spacers so all you need is longer studs?

The joys of modifying... 1 small job opens a can of worms!

I had exactly this problem with my car when I changed the wheels - the old front ones didn't foul on the coilovers but the new ones did, even though they weren't a bad offset. I used 10mm spacers to resolve the issue (larger than I needed for clearance but it set the wheel up nicely in the arch), but fortunately when you get into spacers that large they tend to have integral studs.

Yes the studs are splined into the hub, you can just tap them out and fit longer ones. Stock are 40mm IIRC and Fensport sell 65mm ones but I think they are just OEM from a different Toyota. Unfortunately the Toyota parts catalogue doesn't list the length!

I'm going to try pulling on the wheel to get some pos camber and some gap... I need longer studs as well though, bloody cars! O hope it's fine with the spacers, and I've got y eye on 7j wide wheels, is there any problems running 235 wide tyres on 7 inch rims?

My studs are measuring 22 mm from the disk face.... Add a few mm on for the disk width? Say 8mm? So i need what 45mm ones? Anyone in the know?

Bought some eBay studs because there next day delivery and surprise surprise the splines are too small and don't work! I want to drive my xxxxxx car.

If you get everything sorted try progrip in larbert to set it up, he knows his stuff, he's set up my coilovers on my old Clio and just done an alignment on my mr2.

everything is getting there, got 7" wide wheels... was out for a drive and it corners like its on rails! so flat!
and on the softest setting b roads are fine, just the right hardness id say... some tweaking still to be done though

got a failing wheel bearing to deal with now... no doubt something else would go lol.

booked into pro grip tomorrow, so should corner even better!! cant wait!!

Front end set up, rear end seized track rod... Track rod is in the post so getting there step by step lol.
