You've been over the 'it's not a hairdressers' car enough times that it feels scripted.
Re: You know you drive an MR2 when....
You can only have your windows down in certain positions otherwise they'll rattle.
Get a puncture and your popped wheel doesn't fit in the "spare wheel" location.

Your bank transaction history looks like your stocking a car shop

You leave it in gear when the weather is cold, and don't apply the handbrake - for fear of it seizing on overnight
You cringe every time you approach speed humps or pot holes deeper than a sheet of paper

When I open the window I have to then raise it by 20 mm otherwise it rattles very slightly next to my ear.
Re: You know you drive an MR2 when....
You've told people 50 times what it is and they still have no clue what it actually is.
Re: You know you drive an MR2 when....
You can lift the frunk lid and confuse non car enthusiasts by saying the engines is very small and is under the spare wheel.
No 2

Whenever you park it, as you walk away, you always glance back and admire it

Re: You know you drive an MR2 when....
you have a good look at the engine lid of EVERY other mr2 you see just to see if they're turbo or not
Re: You know you drive an MR2 when....
You look at it and think, "how is that a 20 year old car?"

my car sits at work (my carwash) all day and i get nothing but questions and compliments from customers about it, they are completely dumbfounded when i tell them it's 19 years old!
as per your post, i often say that to myself!!!
Best years 1990,s
Why did Toyota not re-invent it every few years like Porshe and the 911.
Seeing the rear wing jolting around on s**te UK roads reminds me of a Porshe 956/962 rear wing hitting the dip in the track at Copse Silverstone during Epic Group C races.
Glad i fitted a Ford Focus fuel cap & strap so as to not need the pliers at the pumps.

Re: You know you drive an MR2 when....
I say it all the time about these cars. I love em
Forget about it being a Toyota mr2. (Although that's a whole other area of interest and also a good thing). Its a mid engined, rear wheel drive ( turbo charged ) 2 seater sports car which looks good.
Also surprisingly fast.

Valid points sir!

When you turn the music up a notch to disguise the odd rattle and shake.
Re: You know you drive an MR2 when....
Every woman that's seen your car comments on how nice it is.
You feel you're making the choice when buying something non car related to not spend that money on the car instead... a difficult choice.
The only reason you still have facebook is because the mr2 page you follow regularly updates.
You regularly get asked "is that a ferrari replica" (that one may be TRD specific)
some great ones here guys, love this thread
