On this subject- could someone tell me if the following would be a good idea to get the best out of the RR day for me
?:
1.leave filling up till the morning of the RR day
2.Fill up at Lakeside Tesco's
(99RON)
3.Add octane booster at same time
4.reset ECU whilst waiting for the others to meet ready for cruise to Engine Advantages.
5.take a
"spirited" drive to teach the ECU how i drive
- or rather prepare it for the RR on the new fuel and octane booster.
can someone tell me if this is overkill or if it's actually a good idea?
thanks![]()

i say fill up a bit with tesco 99ron then do a ECU reset the night before then top it up to full with tesco come morning, otherwise knowing you're luck something will go wrong and you won't run at all!

i'm just paranoid about doing stuff like that on the day! lol hence why i'm changing plugs and leads and my oil and filter the night before!

To the best of my knowledge the Tescos 99Ron is still yet to be tested by any R/R tuners that I know of.

Something else often over looked is making sure that you have the correct tyre pressures.

That aside everything else on your list won't harm a bit good Sir

So long as you change the oil every 3000 or so miles you should be fine there mate.
