As even if it was retarded lots it wouldn't really effect this. Mind you if we retard it enough it will act as an Antilag and then spool up alright

I could go into the advanced boost control and set it back to 1.0bar and see what happens? I can run a log of a 10min drive on/off boost. Its pretty easy to see how it spools then. I may even get some of my boost pipes hard welded as silicones are not the greatest. The firblade packs are higher resistance than the R6 ones I also have which have been blamed for ignitor failures in the past due to low primary resistance. To cut a long story short the whole of the ignition system has been replaced, and I couldn't find any problems so bit the bullet and shipped it up to the guys at YVS. Simon has advised me of all the changes required and asked me about each change I would like to make. In fact I asked him to test the car to see what he thought of the car. He was not impressed with the map and due to finding nothing wrong with the setup supported my approach of going to Motec. I am looking forward to seeing what results he can get............- know you have been waiting a while to get her as you expect it. Much work plus time. 
I know there are probably other MR2 specialists nearer me but YVS are the only company I could find NO negative feedback on and who wanted to take on my problems. Glad to here the car may be finally getting nearer completion. Mine is dragging on a bit now and James and the lads are going to try and find out what let go after the rebuild. Hopefully it'll be done later in the year once it's not so busy for them and then i can look to get it mapped at last:) I'm looking forward to meeting up when they are both finally ready to go to the strip at last! How's the missus and nipper? Was getting erratic fuelling and kept leaning at the top end. Didn't get above 0.7bar 
So no boosting for me until I get the the new pump in and get it re-mapped, but getting closer! You'll have to get up to snertteron as I may become a track junky i'm afraid, hoping to go soon in fact. The family are fine. The little one is nearly 3 now would you believe it! I disappeared off the forum for a while when the car gave up again. The funds for the car were being swallowed up by a new house and small child so it took a while to get in a position to get it sorted again. James is going to get it sorted when they quieten down a bit and as theres no major rush i can gradually save to get the thing done right this time and with the power i'm looking for Just praying it doesn't go pop again before tuning or i think its in the bin time! Mines been off the road a while and to be honest it's not seen much driving in quite a few months. Theres loads of bits need doing and i'm not happy with the paint, its got a few chips and scratches now. I've kind of gone off car shows now anyway so no real reason to have it immaculate other than for me to look at. Simon sorted out my car in a speedy manner to a very good standard. He took the car on without seeing it knowing it had a problem I had been unable to bottom out. All the work is neat and tidy and he even made good some of my handywork. The price was very agreeable despite having to use a trailer to get to him. In fact we had a natter last night about my car and the way forward after the dissapointment of the fuel pump failing during mapping. I'd have no hesitation in reccomending his services to anyone. He is happy to do whatever you ask of him, but will let you know if he thinks theres a better or cheaper way. He then went for 1bar and we made 311BHP, not bad we thought. We then let the car cool down a bit and had a natter. Smiles all round at this point, again temps were getting up and we wnated to let the car cool a bit before the next onslaught. At this point Dave pointed out a few issues on the map and where the torque was an suggested slightly raising the rev limit and having a play with getting the torque in earlier. He also asked if I was confident with raising revs and the builds strength. Nod's all round and up went the boost.(1.72bar) and at this boost we hit a final figure of.............. Its almost too quick for road use now, as this is a lot more power than I had planned. Their prices are very reasonable and Dave now goes under www.epsmotorsport.co.uk.
