Would I be wrong in thinking that this day is being held on a regular RWYB day?

CONVOY PLAN

J15A M1 services SOUTHBOUND SIDE - leaving 9-9:30am.
This can be accessed from both north and southbound, and then leave altogether on the A45 at 9-9:30 am
This way it will cater for everyone whichever direction.
There can be mini-convoys to reach J15A

Mini-Convoy 1: 8:00am M1, Leicester Forest East services, southbound, between J21a & J21 southbound, lead by Me
http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=18619
Mini-Convoy 2: from south, http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=17817 lead by Mark Edwards
Mini-Convoy 3:We need one from the north-west i think

:pr: PM me if you want to lead a convoy with your plan and time and i will update this post

As in previous/other posts, we are meeting at J15A services on the M1 to leave for 9:30.

The easiest/most direct route which most clubs tend to take would be the A43/A45 (ring road) onto the A45 (dual carriage way) all the way to Wellingborough and then cut through the residential areas (Irchester/Wollaston) to Santapod.

:? Eh? Why? Check your emails T. Stuarts done you a valuation, it should arrive in post today (beginning to think this car doesn't actually exist  )

And because my car is not running properly I'm not taking it so you may have a chance now to win the SC class

Still don't think you'll beat my times though. Had a run at Donny last Saturday. Times were 0-60mph = 5.48s, 1/4 mile = 14.38s. Beat that! :D

Oh ah Tom and what timing gear was that

Stuart has promised me a valuation hoping it will arrive in the post today. If it does I'll be trying to sort out the insurance - but it's not just a case of ringing up and paying, to get this particular classic policy I want (agreed value) it might need to be inspected.

Oh FFS Toni! (I really don't think this car exists now)

And hey if you don't believe my times, click below:

http://www.theresults.co.uk/car_tuner_grand_prix.htm

Then click the bottom two pdfs: "0-60 overall results" and "1/4 mile overall results"

See, told you! :D I was 13th quickest overall to 60 and 16th quickest down the 1/4 mile. The MR2 was going really well. I was using Methanol and Oxygen though :clown:

I sometimes wonder if the car exists too, LOL.

But then I go to my garage and there it sits :)

I am not going to risk £30K on the road without adequate insurance, if that means I miss a few events then so be it. I'd be mad to wouldn't I??

BTW wasn't not believing you, just joshing. Good I say!
Twinchargers in the States do 11.6 btw

Of course you must have insurance, it would be lunacy to risk it!

But if the letter does arrive today, surely you just need to go to your nearest reputable classic car dealer, bung him a few quid and ask him to write a brief inspection report. Am I missing something? :?

And 11.6! Tut, tut, tut, I hope you are not exaggerating T. As you know I have done a bit of researching on Twincharging, this is the best time slip I've found....

Image

Errm, that's quick... But people are putting 300hp Supercharged Honda Type R's in go-karts now, I wonder what time they could do!

By the way here's his dyno results as well:

Image

  365hp in a Mk1! xxxx!

Poor excuse...My cars not running right either...and my go faster bits havent arrived, and having come up with another cunning plan(which should result in a few more horses in the long run) I have ditched the boot mounted intercooler......so I have gone backwards a bit but you know what I'm STILL going to take the car and will still more than likly run it up the strip.....come on Tom please bring your car I dont want to win the SC wooden spoon award :)

Nice times by the way......I dont suppose the timing was done by straightliners by any chance??
