Revision 5 BEAMS - NOW SOLD

Post by nailmonkey »

Hi,

As we've now bought a sensible car, my girlfriends MR2 is now for sale. It's a genuine Rev5 G-Limited BEAMS in Cosmos blue. It's an auto, but don't let that put you off, it's a pretty quick car when rolling!

We originally bought the car with some rear-end damage, which has now been repaired. We've had the car for just over two years now and it has flown through 3 MOTs, the last one being about 1 month ago.

The car has all of the usual goodies, folding mirrors, ect. but also has some more unusual features such as a light sensor (headlights come on when it gets dark), factory fit footwell lights, etc.

Bad Bits: Some of the panel gaps around the bootlid and engine cover aren't the best and also some of the paintwork isn't perfect, in an ideal world, the front splitter, NS wing, and boot lid would be resprayed.

The car has done 83438 miles and has only been run on V-power and used Silkolene Pro S 5-40 oil in the time that we have had it. The wheels were professionally refurbished (powdercoated) 2 years ago and still look great, all four tyres are toyo proxes and all have had only a couple of thousand miles use.

I'm sure I have forgotten some details so please feel free to ask if you have any questions. Regarding the price, any offers are welcome, it might be that the car is worth more in parts than as a whole, but I have neither the time nor the skills to break the car myself. As the insurance runs out pretty soon, I would like to sell the car as quickly as possible and if there is no interest I'll be listing the car on ebay in a couple of days, so I won't be offended by any offers! Anyway, here are some pictures.

Thanks for looking,

Nik

Too good to break my friend.
I'll start the offers at £1000

Just a randon question, but did you buy this from a squaddie in Tidworth, Hampshire?

If its the same car, I saw it advertised and missed it by a couple of hours. ](*,)

Hi Rowland,

It's not a bad offer, the car really does have to go. Unfortunately it's not the best offer.

Hi,

Yes, I did buy it from a squaddie in Tidsworth, I drive through there quite a bit. I think Simmo490 also saw the car.

Hi All,

Just a quick update, quite a bit of interest in the car via PM but it's still available at the moment, I've replied to all PMs individually.

Inevitably, several people have asked what kind of figure I would take for the car, I hate 'for sale' ads that don't include a price myself!! I've checked the insurance documentation and the insurance runs out at 5pm on Saturday, so it needs to be gone by then. With this in mind, I'd be happy with 2-2.5k on the condition that the car is collected by 5pm on Saturday.

I'm going to try and upload some more photos today (if I can find my card reader ](*,) )

Nik

Edit: The rear tyres are not as new as I thought, but they have approximately 4mm of tread. I was getting it confused with my turbo which has new tyres.

Hi,

Here are some more pictures:

Front of car, splitter has some stone chips, could do with respraying anyway as colour match isn't great.

Front NS.

NS rear, colour-coded toyota mudflaps.

Rear of car, grill is colour-coded, standard exhaust.

OS rear...

Engine lid shots, note panel gaps.

The car has more tax that I thought, it expires 30/06/09 and roughly 10 months of MOT. The car is located approximately 2 miles from J16 of the M6.

Hi All,

All PMs replied to. I've had several suitable offers but really it comes down to somebody putting the cash in my hand on or before Saturday.
