[Mk2] [Turbo] How to check ignitor function?

Post by davidmit »

Running out of ideas, my tubby works when dry, then not at all when wet (Like this morning) Just turns over but does not fire.

I have taken off the dizzy and seems dry and fine, I have a spark but it did not seem very strong. So I am thinking maybe its the ignitor?

Anybody tell me how to check if its working properly? Or give me any other ideas how to stop my car from not working when it rains? It never used to.

Remove the ignitor and inspect for cracks... if it has, it's gonna be soaking inside.

Just a thought :thumleft:

Bare in mind the guide is for a 3S-GTE from a rev 1.
