Century Motorsports, exellent service!

Post by projectprelude »

As some of you know i have had major issues with my turbo and the car generally not running right. It wasnt making boost until 4k and even then was only hitting 0.5 bar.

I have been looking for a company for a while that will just take the car off my hands and sort it.

I dropped the car off last sunday with Century Motorsports and by monday he had called me with a full update on what was wrong and what he planned to do.

Whilst down there hes even got some of my engine bay powder coated for me at a really really good price!

The car is now running a 1000 times better than it ever has before! its hitting boost and pulling really hard. The issues were with the actuator, also my plugs were knackered and my rocker cover and water gaskets were a bit worse for wear. The idle issue i had was a pipe that had split (something to do with map sensor, im sure Nathan can confirm)

anyway top top work! its a 4 hour 45 min round trip to get to them but well worth it. he even sorted out my broken engine lid prop with a nice new gas strut!

Engine bay now looks great - this car is as fantastic in the flesh as it is in the pictures \:D/

And yes, it was MAP sensor plumbing that was causing idle and rich running issues

Not long after buying my turbo I put it on the rollers and got 236bhp (March 2007) and a few helpful suggestions for power improvement.
After asking for help on IMOC, I went to see Nathan to discuss options. Nathan explained (in simple terms) what I needed and we went at it in stages (to match my budget), a decatt pipe and boost controller, which Nathan sourced and fitted.
Back on the rollers and 277bhp.
The next stage was a bigger intercooler, unable to get a Berk I sourced a Greddy which Nathan fitted. Nathan advise that a PowerFC would be the next logical step.
Enter Ryan (2bartuning) and after mapping 299bhp was achieved, falling short of the 300 mark due to my stock airbox.
As soon as the budget allowed, Nathan sourced and fitted a Power Enterprise Air Impulse II.
Back to Ryan for a tweek on the map and 311bhp (November 2007) at 1.2bar.
