Does your 2 live in a lock up ?

Post by MR22 »

Mine does, and my modern lives outside !

Often wondered how many 2's have the luxury of a garage ? :?

A 'modern' is a term used widely in the older car movement meaning a current model or very late car, as opposed to our MR2's ! :D

cheers guys. :thumleft: ive never heard the term "my modern" my neighbour left his mr2 on the street over night .... overnight some knob jockeys wrote it of with a couple of bricks , smashed the windows sunroof and dinted every panel on it. and no i dont live in a rough area, its resonably well off. i was gutted for him, he only bought it cos he loved mine.

Mine gets kept outside, but it's in a private car park, which is locked and covered by CCTV with a security guard ;) You can't get to it without scaling buildings or swimming down a river, which the insurance people seem to quite like. It's all a perk of the job though, I just keep it at my work because I live about 300yds from it! Plus my road is single track so there's no way I could park it at my house if I wanted to...

I rent a 1500 - 2000sqft unit with 2 mates. Big enough for 6 cars comfortably or 8 at a sqeeze and the best bit is.....its got a 4 post car ramp in there. Its cheaper than renting a single garage.

on the street during summer months(if you can call it that) then at work in winter time
only problem is it keeps it boxed in with junk so when the sun pops out nip up to the unit to take her out for a quick spin turns in to half a day moving stuff about ](*,)
