There's only one nut (AFAIK) on the undertrays, and it don't look like that.

Mine did, maybe it wasn't the original part, or maybe yours isn't :oldtongue:

Every single one of my undertray bolts (+nut) is proper Toyota monkey metal - apart from the gaffer tape where the 3 bolts used to be

i lost one from my exhaust heatshiled a couple of months back, didnt even notice it was gone until i went to deliberately remove it.
it was the upper manifold shield bolts. there are two. so losing one did not make it rattle or anything either.

if not the only other one i know that size is on throttle cable holder thingy, whiich comes off the side of the block, toward the firewall of the engine bay

i thought the shield is held by bolts not nuts :-k

could be exhaust manifold or turbo>manifold but these tend to have nuts with a split in them

did you check droplinks?

Reversed the car off my drive and found a solitary nut:

Don't know what it's off, found directly under my car. I have put a 5p coin next to it for size.
Thanks for any suggestions. I'm pretty worried about what is under my car without a nut
:(

Thanks for any help.

I've seen those before!! I'm fairly sure they're off the metal firewall panel inbetween the inside of the car and the downpipe.

Surely a Manifold nut will be bigger than 12mm (1.2cm) Thats a tiny nut and i bet theres a few more missing anyway ;)

i wouldnt worry too much, have you seen the amounts of bolts left over from engine in / out / rebuilds that just get binned?

was the bolt at the rear or front of the car?

I've had a look at the heatshield/firewall shield/undertrays etc. Those nuts are all different.

I have no idea where it's from and guess I will never find out.

Oh well, the search endeth

I recently had my front Bumper strip / trim off and it looked similar but dont think they would undo that easy.

Just have a scan around the engine bay at the things mounted to the chassis

I bet its not even off your car :), Someone probably kicked it while walking and its landed in your drive  #-o

Another one of my thoughts

Trying to search for the location for a nut, that doesn't belong on my car. Good call #-o

i doubt it would be anythng important, Like sid before its probably a shoulder bolt from some thing like a heat sheild or retaining clip or similar.

I highly doubt it would be a ARB, Exhaust mani, topmountbolt or anything like that.

i also find it odd that it has fallen off on your drive? Surely it wouldhave come off whislt you was driving around and there was a steady and constant vibration going through the car?

If it is from your car i woldnt worry yourself about it, Its most likley to have come from some thing insignificant otherwise it would have been dont up so tight you need to call Ronnie Coleman round t help you get it off!
