Black Rev 3 GT Turbo T-bar

Post by Quigonjay »

dont want to but needs must

My Rev 3 GT Turbo T-bar is now for sale

December 1993 L reg, one of the first rev 3 turbo's which is now 15 years old and can be insured as a classic, renewal for me is £270 this year with all mods declared

T- bar roof with brand new seals fitted a month ago by myself, GT model with half leather seats, folding mirrors, steering front fogs, electric windows/mirrors, auto air con, man in dandism mats

Imported in to uk in july 2001 by an ex imoc member (via new era) then passed to his girlfriend in oct 2004 when they split so 2 previous owners, bought it from her in december 2005

Shows 97k on clock with first 48k being in km so approx 79+k actual
odometer reads in miles and speedo reads in mph, de restricted

cambelt and tensioner done 12 months ago by myself

oil changes every 4-5k using silkolene pro s and always run on optimax/vpower, will give it fresh oil and filter before sale
comes with 6 months mot and 4 months tax

folder full of bills both from previous owners and myself, was a customer at sbits first then started working their over a year ago so no receipts since then but could print some of the work i have done 'for the record' if you wish, peter will also be able to confirm any work i have done
no history from before import unfortunately (would have been in jap anyway)

cant be 100% sure but i think the car was standard when it was brought over then had the following done by the previous owner -

Toad Cat 1 alarm/immob with rcl
Apexi filter kit (new filter 6 months ago)
Mongoose exhaust
De cat pipe, been welded but held up fine for last 2 years
Greddy Profec B EBC
Greddy Boost gauge
Greddy EGT gauge (needs new probe)
Twin pillar pod for above
UK front plate holder
Clear front clusters
Alternator replaced sep 05

they had an issue with a cracked block and had the engine rebuilt as follows (less than 12k since rebuild)
reconditioned head
fresh block
JE forged pistons
JUN rods
HKS head gasket
ARP studs/nuts
Owens hybrid CT 26 turbo
also fitted at the same time was an RPS street max clutch and lightweight flywheel (still plenty of life left in clutch)

stuff that has been done while in my possesion -

sbits reconditioned steering rack
sbits droplinks
sbits shift cable bearing kit
Speed source engine mounts
MT90 gear oil
coolant change with red toyota forlife and new thermostat
fuel filter
battery
Dot 5.1 brake fluid
Goodridge braided brake hoses
discs and pads all round
all calipers replaced either by myself or previous owner
handbrake cables
koni SSK kit (adjustable dampers)
TRD anti roll bars with new bushes
MR2 Eddy TRD style strut braces
Berk Technology intercooler kit
plugs/cap/arm and O2 sensor about 12 months ago (leads about 2 years old)
toblerones replaced with uk side strips and genuine toyota clear side repeaters fitted
wiper blades and arms
Work BRS Poison alloys (5 spoke split rim design)
16x7 front 16x8 rear, not sure on offsets (doesnt say on the wheels) but they fill the arches nicely (3mm spacer was needed on the front to clear the calipers) they need balancing which i will get done before sale
205/45/16 front and 225/45/16 rear marangoni zeta linea tyres with plenty of tread

will have new pics up shortly but you can see older pics if you click on my name <<<<<<
still looks the same apart from badge/wheels/side repeaters

bad bits -
usual wear on the drivers seat side bolster
body work isnt perfect - small scratch on rear quarter, couple of small scratches on spoiler
even so, the defects are not highly visual and do not stop it from being a good looking car
overall i would still class it as a good condition car

clutch is a bit heavy but otherwise this a brilliant car to drive and the best car i have ever owned, it breaks my heart to have to sell it
full boost by 3250 then hold on for dear life till 7k
runs fantastic, no issues at all

car can be viewed at sbits in dodworth, barnsley just off the M1 jct 37

ask away or pm me if there are any questions or if i have missed anything

Jay

Sorry to hear you are having to sell the car Jay - a lovely example she is too.

Great price considering all the modifications you have done to it - good luck with the sale :thumleft:

Thats good going my old 350 bhp saff was doing that, the car has gt30, fancy ecu, chargecooler etc etc, which would cost a bomb to source. I were telling my mate about yours today he seems keen but i dont think the mrs will let him
