[Mk2] [Turbo] A big thank you to James Darby and the team at the 3S Service Centre

Post by Dame »

This is just a post to say a big thank you to the guys at the above. My Rev2 Turbo developed running problems recently, basically wouldn't start sometimes and when it did, it wouldn't run properly until it was warm and even when it was warm it would stutter from time to time and refused to run more than 3/4 boost.

I had the car taken by the AA to James last Friday and have just got it back this weekend. What can I say....? They have done a simply awesome job! I've had the car for eleven years, and it hasn't run this well for a long long time. Considering the amount of work involved to get her back up and running i.e. change the fuel pump, igniter, coil, new engine loom plus some maintenance jobs such as new oil filter and petrol filter the final cost is extremely reasonable and the work was performed quickly - especially considering they were also working with my nightmare of an alarm system (fixed now James you'll be pleased to know).

If you live in the London / Reading area and need specialist work undertaking, the guys really know their stuff, are passionate and professional. I give them the highest recommendations. Thanks guys for all your hard work :-). You shall be seeing the car agin in the spring....
