Hi Squidge,

Nice buy, you'll have to let us know how you get on with it as quite a few people have been umming and erring over this.

When you're fitting would you mind seeing if the manifold to downpipe flange/fitting is the same as the original as I have a straight through system and can't use the downpipe they supply as my downpipe slides into the backbox pipework rather than being bolted at the flange.

Cheers

Marc

i have one of these, it is a sensor mount, not all revs have the sensor, mine is just blanked of quickly at the mo, spose you could have it removed or i have seen kelsport selling specific blanks on ebay

one thing i will say is the rear mount is way off on mine, has only worked with one of the 3 exhausts ive had

marc, if your talking about an original manifold then i cant see it working, these are 4-1 manifold with a single link pipe, stock is a 4-2 with a 2-1 link pipe

for info my rev1 with a full service, 57i, one of these and a janspeed exhaust made 145 at the hubs (approx 170 fly)

hi guys went to a mates unit to fit yday, and i cant work out whats going on, i have a feeling its for the 5sfe where i drive the 3sge

i cut a blanking plate for the whole in it however on my mid section there is a similar shaped sensor that wouldnt reach my manifold so what would i do with that??

Was it from america?

If so, chances are its for a 5sfe.

the header section will def fit 3sge ok

the sensor in your midsection (beneath intake side of engine block) is your lambda sensor - you need to extend the wiring for this so you can route it around to the other side of the engine to fit it to your new manifold.

it sounds like you have the bolt-on type sensor which may fit the hole youve ringed in the photo but id suggest you get a screw in type so you can use the other hole (lower down after all the pipes are joined up). taking readings off only 1 cylinder [-X

any screw-in 4 wire toyota lambda sensor will be ok - got mine off a rav4 in a scrapyard

correct me if i'm wrong but when i was looking for a manifold i couldn't find one for a rev3,even though it stated on the topic it would further in the description of purchase it stated it would only fit rev1-2. are you sure this was made to fit your rev?

I remember a fleebay seller offering s/s manifold & downpipe for a rev1 & rev2 direct fit for a uk and import mr2 but that turned out to be for a 5sfe engine so manifold would bolt straight on a 3sge engine & the downpipe had to be shortened to fit. Hope you didnt get this from the same seller I was thinking of buying one from as they told me manifold and downpipe were direct fit onto any 3sge rev1 & rev2 with no modification needed. fleebay dodgy sellers should be strung up by there danglies and then knee capped

im confused, so are we saying it should fit if i jus move the lambda sensor? or that it wont

this is the auction http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0297855678

and my car is a '94 rev 3

when i looked at my current manifold and this one the studs seemed to have the same layout however this was jus by looking at it and not measuring

Stainless Steel T-304 4-1 Exhaust Manifold is designed to fit Toyota MR2 Non Turbo 1991-1994 UK & Jap Spec

Changed from rev2 to rev3 in 1994 which is the issue i had as it won't fit a rev3 and was designed for a rev1 and rev2

Unfortunately though i dont know if it can be modified at any point to fit so hopefully some1 else may have that answer for you
