Help need !!!!! NOW WITH PICS LOOKY LOOKY

Morning guys and gals got a problem with my car and this morning it totally stopped on a busy dual carrige way which xxxx me up quite abit what happened was it started holding back so I geared down and slowed then it went fine again then went like it was missing again then a load of sparks came out the exhaust and stopped all the lights came on the dash board and I stopped for a few minuites and then it started again and I managed to limp to work any ideas ? What could be wrong

The car is a rev 3 turbo with a his hyper and apexi air filter that's all mid wise any help is apprecited daz

how can you tell spark coming out the exhaust ?? (when you driving ?)

sound like either you are running very rich, did you smell any petrol smell ?

Prob wouldnt be a bad idea to check to spark plugs. Sparks def coming out of exhaust? Any change in exhaust note, like there was a hole in it?

I could see the sparks from the seat there was loads of them the cat temp sensior light came on at fiirst aswell do you think it was the cat breaking up got it in the car park at qork and it seemed find again so could the exhaust be blocked ?

bet you've melted the cat. Remove the o2 sensor and poke something long and thin down there.

That's what I was thinking I am guessing some has come out but I'm guess it wouldn't be a good idea driving it as if it blocks it just causes the car to no stall but it won't run abit like if you have covered the exhaust pipe but will run for a few miles then stop again

Dizzy rotor loose perhaps in the cap ?

After one AA ride home it now wont start and smells abit of petrol it still turns over.

Sounds more like a HT problem - you getting any spark? As suggested, try taking of the Dizzy cap and check the condition of the contacts, and that the Rotor is mounted securely with two small grub screws.

some people will tell you that you have to have a cat for the mot, but you don't, mine passed with a decat, just depends on how healthy your engine is i guess
