Swapping to mk3 roadster wheels - can I use the original mk1a wheel nuts?
I currently have the mk1a triangle alloys fitted. Or will I need a set of mk3 wheel nuts? cheers O:)

Well MK3 nuts would be ideal, but really you need wheel nuts that have the right taper etc.

I have a an inkling that using stock wheel nuts would not be a good idea as they have a different pitch/taper.

Plenty of people have put mk3 wheels on their mk1, so i'm sure someone else can advise with a bit more certainty.

Standard MK1a wheel nuts will fit fine, 1b's will fit OK but are a bit long in the body so stick out a bit and don't look as good IMHO.
MK3 wheel nuts fit fine they are the same thread/pitch as MK1's 12 x 1.5mm
The wheel nuts are parallel, flat faced with a floating flat washer NOT the taper faced type.
I bought a new set from Ebay for around £20 for 20, but that was a few years ago so are probably dearer now

EDIT
These are the type you need CLICKY
This what they look like fitted

We used the Roadster nuts with the Roadster alloys on our SC. Although I chucked the locking nuts in favour of regular 1a nuts.

When you chnage wheels as often as we do, there's nothing worse than locking wheel nuts 8-[
