[Mk2] [Generic] Light up rear badges

Post by BLZ-8027 »

Not sure if this is in the correct place?
Ive been talking to a guy in the states who makes these badges to replicate the original elglow badges found on the rev 1or2s

Im getting one in white then changing to red when braking , and wondered if anyone else would be interested to save on postage ?

These work out at $100 + a little postage ,$40 from the states and then postage to you from me maybe? if i order 10 sets (single colour)
not got a price yet for the two colour so well see

so about the same price you would pay for a secondhand original (if you can find one ) these would also fit the rev 3 panel with a little work to the panel

MR2, TRD, SW20 plates are available now , Colors available are: red, blue, green, "indiglo green", white, amber, and orange.

The other designs will take a couple of weeks after ordering, also the two colour ones wont be available for a couple of weeks

I'd like the "turbo" one in blue and i want it to only light up when i hit boost

What would be involved to fit these to a rev3 centre panel exacxtly?
drill a few holes or actually cut out the mr2 logo?

I made an "mr2" light myself lights up green when you switch on the lights and turns red when you hit the brakes - pretty easy to do and all the parts are available from maplins for basically a fiver !
P.S. mine dosent sit in the rear panal - I already have an elglow badge - made mine to fit in the center part of my raised aftermarket engine cover.
That said the photo,s posted above make thse ones look good quality and very oem . The biggest problem I have had is stopping water getting in or condensation forming.

good thing is I bet these just run off the 12 Volt so you wont have to worry about that transformer blowing :thumleft:
