Sega Megadrive Ultimate Collection

For all you old school fans this is listed in the pre-order chart on play for both the xbox 360 and the ps3. Has 40 classic megadrive games on it for 25 quid. Think how much they'd have cost back in the day lol, i'd imagine 25 quid + each!

Nice idea but there's that many emulators out there for every known format before the 360 & PS3 are they just throwing them out to grab a few extra quid.

The Capcom Collections were very well put together for last gen with additional content, new music etc, etc and provided a good line up of some old classics.

Taito & Midway on the other hand threw out p1$$ poor conversions with crap screen resolutions, no controller config and decided to leave out some of the best games i their back catalogue.

I'd like too see an official LIVE/PSN release of MAME for 360 & PS3 for those of us who still like playing some of the old stuff. Release the (Emulator) then provide the entire back catalogue of whats currently available (over 7000 roms) and charge a couple of quid per game so you can just built up your own collection of your old faves. I think they'd make a lot more money from the older stuff this way.
