it does look like a 2, the rear bumper lines seem to look the same, looks like it has pop up lights and the rear lights look the same.. Maybe the news people got the car make wrong on the site??

if it is a 2 it looks like it has a single exit exhaust comming out the left hand side

It's clearly not an MR2 and it is a Nissan Skyline.

Save the image to your computer and zoom in. There are circular lights, but they are not in the same style as the MR2. Also the rear of the car where the engine cover should be appears to be the rear glass going up to the roof.

ahh you might be right there but you have to admit it looks a little 2ish from that small pic, if it didnt say Nissan on the story I would have thought it was definatly a 2.

as said If we were on CSI we could have used some software and zoomed right in on the car making it look as clear as a HD movie

It wasnt the skyline driver that murdered people, the Skyline driver was the one he randomly killed . I bet he was a member of a Skyline Forum over in the US
