hi all just a quick one, im geeting about 190 miles to a full tank of fuel in my rev 1 gt turbo and thats driving at normal speeds would you say this is about right.

How many litres do you put in at the petrol pump? Because if you look at my "petrol tank capacity" thread, the tank has 55 litres in the tank. I fill up 42 litres when my clock is on 160 miles. Which means I have 13 litres left in my tank, which would actually total my miles to 209. I do think my car is drinking more than it should though.
160 miles for 42litres is 17.32mpg, that's bad
Assuming robbo is getting the fuel light on at say 13litres left and is also using 42litres, then he's getting 20.57mpg, which is also bad.
BTW. as you both have turbos, sure those 'miles' aren't kilometres?
Nope, mine is mph. I'm aware my mpg is very bad, I could probably afford the petrol on a supercar (without being able to afford the car itself).
But, I think mine is over-fuelling anyway, I need to see an ECU specialist.
The annoying thing is that my car is slower than a normal turbo but drinks more petrol! And I drive quite sensibly.
I think I must hold the record for a near stock (bolt on mods) tubby fuel consumption £40 to every 120 miles which someone worked out at about 13mpg this is with just normal sort of driving as well
I tightened my DV Spring up and it seems to have got better, going to go on a RR soon and see what they say
Mmm thats not good news as mine is reading in mph while driving so i persume the the miles are clocking up in mph as well if this is true can anyone give me some ideas as to correcting this as i know when i bought this car 4 years back i was getting more miles to the tank im sure
Hmm, this is not good reading.
I'm only getting about 28mpg from my n/a and in this weather i'm driving like a grandad's grandad
Just put new plugs, leads, dizzy cap and arm and air filter in, looks like I got some checking to do

Most likely fault for bad fuel consumption, particularly so if it's got noticably worse is a dead oxy sensor.

I'm only getting around 29mpg currently, think it's the weather
Don't think there's anything wrong with my car, a year ago I got just under 48mpg (NOT on a regular basis )
what do you think could be wrong with mine then it seems like it still has the same power just a tank full only gives me 190 ish miles surely that cant be right

Depends on what type of journey your going on m8!
Im sure you'd get more miles if you were on motor ways going 70mph for miles on end.
I got the same as you but my journey to work is stop start, accelerate, stop etc etc with no long stretches of motorway.
I put my down to also wanting to get to 60mph asap all the time
HTH
Cheers

Dead oxy sensor.
I was told that sensor only does stuff at idle, does it also do stuff while your driving around??

Don't be daft, you don't put up with ~17mpg just because it's an MR2
